Our Novice Cheer programs are perfect for athletes ages 4-14 years who are new to the sport of cheerleading. This is a half season program that runs October through April. Practices are 1.5 hours per week. Tumbling is recommended, but not required.
Ages 3-5 years
Full Season Novice divisions are for ages 3-6. Prep divisions are available for ages 6-14. Intensity will consider the age and skill level of athletes each season and determine what levels and age divisions will be most appropriate and successful for interested athletes. This program is designed to progress athletes with more focus on skill building, strength building, and building competitiveness. Practices run June through May of the following year. Practices are twice a week for 2 hours, regular attendance is required. These teams attend 1 out of state event.
Limited Travel Elite teams are for athletes aged 6-18 years old. Intensity will consider the age and skill level of athletes each season and determine what levels and age divisions will be most appropriate and successful for interested athletes. This program is for athletes that have more experience in all-star cheer and it continues to progress athletes as they prepare to join our Elite Travel teams. This program follows a similar training structure as our Elite Travel teams, and meets twice weekly for 2 ½ hours. These teams attend 2 out of state travel competitions, both within a driving distance of 5 hours.
Our Elite Travel teams are reserved for athletes that are invited to try-out for these teams. Our Elite Travel candidates have mastered the basic skills and have competed with Intensity Athletics within the previous season. These teams require a bigger time commitment, dedication and positive support from both parents and athletes. Their season runs June through May of the following year. This team practices 3 days a week on average and they attend 3 regular season out-of-state competitions, one of which requires an airplane trip, as well as attending Florida in the post season.
